WiFi Hotspot
To better facilitate learning and work from home, Grossmont College has a limited
number of WiFi Hotspots available for student, faculty, and staff use. These Hotspots
work off of a cellular signal to provide a mobile WiFi access point for your devices.
You may checkout a Hotspot by filling out the Library “Request Materials” form.
Pre-Paid Service
The Hotspots are already activated with T-Mobile and have prepaid service as follows:
- Student: Service is active through 7/31/2023
- Faculty/Staff: Service is active through 7/31/2023

Hotspot service is provided by T-Mobile cellular and quality is dependent on reception in your area.
NOTE: The Grossmont Library and Helpdesk are unable to provide technical support for these devices. If you have an issue with your Hotspot, please contact “Mobile Citizen” for support. If they are unable to resolve the issue, please contact Library Circulation to inquire about swapping your Hotspot.

Renew Service
Once the pre-paid service has expired, you may personally purchase service for $19.99/month:
- Visit store.collegebuys.org and search for "California Connects 4G LTE Mobile Internet".
- Check the box that you already have a hotspot, and enter the device IMEI/ MEID number:
- The IMEI can be located under the battery. It is labeled in the Quick Start Guide as letter F.
