Need help accessing your account or need one created?

The district will soon be implementing SSO and Zoom accounts for faculty/staff will be auto-provisioned. In the meantime, if you have issues accessing your Zoom account or need one created please reach out to isops@gcccd.edu.

Software Update

Software programs may on occasion require updates to get the latest security patches and new features. Generally Zoom will auto-update, if it is stuck or not updating properly please follow the steps below:

Reinstall and Update Zoom

WINDOWS - Uninstall the old Zoom software

  • You will need to know the "administrator" password that is set up on your computer. If this is your office computer, please call the Helpdesk for assistance.
  1. Open the Start menu > type "control panel" > click on "control panel" 
  2. Under "Programs" click "Uninstall a program" 
  3. Look for "Zoom" in the list of installed programs and click "uninstall" at the top of the window.

APPLE - Uninstall the old Zoom software

  • You will need to know the "administrator" password that is set up on your computer. If this is your office computer, please call the Helpdesk for assistance.
  1. Open the Zoom desktop application
  2. Select zoom.us at the top of your screen and select Uninstall Zoom
  3. Select OK to confirm uninstalling the Zoom desktop application and all of its components.

 

To install the new Zoom software: 

  1. Visit www.zoom.us/download  and download the "Zoom client for meetings" for PC or Apple (depending on your system)
  2. Run the downloaded file to install the newest version of Zoom.
