Directed by Russ Sperling, the Grossmont College Concert Band is a high-quality ensemble of wind and percussion instrumentalists consisting of college students, music teachers and community members. Known throughout the East County for their exciting performances of the best in wind band repertoire that represents the rich heritage of our nation’s community bands, as well as the latest in cutting edge compositions.  The Grossmont College Concert Band’s members frequently partner with other high school bands as outreach, and university bands as collaborators.

Concert Band Auditions:  No formal audition required for spring 2026 enrollment. Placement auditions occur the first night of class on February 2, 2026.
