Legal Systems & Court Management

Effective Fall 2017, the Legal Systems and Court Management Emphasis (certificate and degree) will no longer be offered. However, the AOJ 142 Legal Systems and Court Management course will be offered as an elective in the Law Enforcement emphasis (certificate / degree). Any course-work started prior to fall, 2017 will be applied to the degree.

Students who take this course are prepared for employment as court clerks and administrators.

Students should be aware that prior felony or any misdemeanor or felony domestic violence convictions, and some psychological holds, are disqualifying.  TROs (Temporary Restraining Orders) can also be a disqualifier. Prior substance abuse (including marijuana) and other disqualifiers may apply in specific positions related to law enforcement or in Legal Systems/Ct. Management positions.
