Planning for Transfer to SDSU

SDSU My Major Academic Plans (MyMAP) - MAPs is an educational planning guide that will help you identify which General Education course will also fulfill a major preparation course requirement.

SDSU Transfer Admission Planner (TAP)

Major Preparation

Fall applicants: For most majors it is necessary to complete all major preparation courses by the end of the Spring term prior to Fall admission; however, some majors may require an earlier timeline.  It is important that you consult the SDSU departmental webpage for information.

Students interested in applying for spring admission: please contact the Transfer Center.

  • If you are applying to a TAG Pathway or a General Pathway major at SDSU, SDSU recommends that you use SDSU TAP for a listing of your major prep courses.  In some cases, you may use SDSU TAP in combination with ASSIST.

  • If you are utilizing an ADT (Associate Degree for Transfer) to apply to a similar major at SDSU you will be considered for admission using the ADT pathway, please refer to the appropriate ADT advising sheet for your major prep.

  • A comparison of the different emphases within specified majors (Art, Business, Engineering, Kinesiology, Music and Liberal Studies) at SDSU can be found on the Articulation website.

For assistance identifying the appropriate pathway for transfer to SDSU, we encourage you to attend our SDSU Transfer Pathways workshop!
