The Business Office Technology (BOT) program prepares students for employment and
advancement in today's technology intensive office. Our programs and curriculum have
been planned to lead you to employment in a variety of job and career paths.
Students wishing to earn a certificate or degree in Business Office Technology select
an area of emphasis in either Administrative Assistant or Executive Assistant, two
of the largest job categories locally and nationally. We offer several areas of study
related to these job categories.
Duration
Most of our local certificates (COP) can be finished in one academic year (2 semesters).
Our AS degree is streamlined to get you working as soon as possible and can be attained
in 4 semesters

Each academic plan below represents one possible pathway for the program and is for
reference only. We highly encourage you to meet with a counselor to create an education
plan specific to your goals!
Certificates of Proficiency are designed for the student who needs to be prepared to enter an entry-level job. A department-issued certificate may be awarded upon successful completion of a prescribed course of study. This certificate will not appear on a student’s transcript.
