Choose on-campus, online, or after-hours tutoring.

Grossmont College students can connect with EWHC tutors through WCOnline or use NetTutor for additional online tutoring when the center is closed.  Learn how each option works and how to get started.


How to Get Help

Can I walk in for tutoring?
Yes.  Visit the English Writing & Humanities Center during Center Hours for walk-in tutoring.

 

How do I schedule a tutoring appointment?
Grossmont College uses the WCOnline platform to schedule appointments. First-time users must create an account at the login screen before scheduling an appointment.

 

What types of tutoring options are available?
When scheduling an appointment, select the meeting type that works best for you:

In Person — Face-to-Face Only Meet with a tutor at the English Writing & Humanities Center.
Online — Online Only Meet online with a Grossmont College tutor.
eTutoring — eTutoring Only Upload a paper for a tutor to review and provide feedback.

After Hours Help

Is tutoring available when the EWHC is closed?
Yes. NetTutor provides online tutoring when the English Writing & Humanities Center is closed.

 

First-time users:

  1. From the NetTutor login screen, select Enter your code to unlock access;
  2. Enter Grossmont College access code: 032-445-9091, then select Submit.
  3. Enter your Grossmont College email address and select Send My Setup Link.
  4. NetTutor will send an email with a link to complete the setup process.  If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder.
  5. In the email, select the Finish SetUp button
  6. Enter your First and last name, create a NetTutor password, and agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  7. Select Create Account & Log In 
  8. You will be logged in automatically and taken to your NetTutor portal.
