IN-PERSON SERVICES

ON-CAMPUS APPOINTMENTS  

   By Appointment Only - (Must wear face covering)

On Campus appointments with a counselor are available Tuesdays and Thursdays. When scheduling, select "1 Hour Appointment - On Campus." Please include the nature of your appointment in the “Comments” section. On Campus appointments will be in the Library (Building 70).  Students must follow the following guidelines. If you are not able to, please see our Virtual Services. 

   *   Wear a face covering at all times          *   Maintain 6 feet of physical distance
   *   Leave furniture in place                              *   Leave food  and opened drinks outside the Library
   *   Wash your hands after touching shared surfaces

ASK A COUNSELOR

Ask a Counselor can provide a bit more information than eCounseling. Transcripts can be pulled. A counselor will respond in 2-3 business days (Monday-Thursday).

- ESL Educational Plan     - Pass/No Pass     - Unit Overload Petition (beginning July 21 for Fall 2021)

***Students seeking Overload Authorization, may do so within eCounseling or Ask a Counselor. You will need to identify the course titlenumber of units and 4-digit section number. This will also need to be an OPEN section, as we cannot authorize overload onto a WAITLIST.  Please also include the number of units in which your are already enrolled. ***

 

eCOUNSELING

eCounseling is for quick questions. No transcripts will be pulled. A counselor will respond in 1-2 business days (Monday-Thursday).

VIRTUAL APPOINTMENTS

Virtual Appointments are 30-minute or 1-hour appointments with a counselor and are open for all students. When scheduling, select "30 Minute Appointment - Online Zoom" or "1 Hour Appointment - Online Zoom." Virtual appointments use ZOOM, which is an interactive live meeting with a counselor. Please include the nature of your appointment in the “Comments” section.

NOTE: Appointments fill up very quickly. They are open every Monday at 8:00am for the following week. If Monday is a Holiday, appointments will be open on Tuesday at 8:00am. If appointments are filled, the following message will appear: "There are currently no available appointments." You may also login to our system anytime to check for cancellations. If you are unable to make your appointment, please cancel as soon as possible.

  •    If you are a Student Athlete, and plan to participate in intercollegiate athletics, please click here for guidance from an Athletics counselor. 
  •    If you are a F1 Visa International Student, please click here to schedule an appointment with a counselor.    
  •    If you are a Transfer Student, with plans to transfer to a four-year university, or need Transfer Application assistance, please click here for information about appointment scheduling.

Please schedule a General Counseling appointment if you are not part of any of the specialized programs (Athlete, International, PUENTE, Transfer, UMOJA, Veteran, and Via Rapida). Appointments will be cancelled if you are not part of these programs.

NEW STUDENT ADVISING WORKSHOPS (Concluded for fall 2021-Please use Virtual Help Desk)

Students will meet one-on-one with counselors during the workshop to determine what courses to register for their 1st semester at Grossmont.
