After almost two years, the Hyde Art Gallery’s semesterly Student Art Exhibition is finally returning to campus! The Fall 2021 Student Art Exhibition will be displayed in our brand-new space in Grossmont College's beautiful Performing and Visual Arts Center.
 
This upcoming exhibition highlights the most exciting and innovative art and design projects that Grossmont College students have produced this semester including ceramics, sculpture, painting, drawing, jewelry, digital media, and photography. If you are looking for holiday gift ideas, most pieces on display are for sale.

 

 

The Student Art Exhibition will run from November 29 until December 17 at Grossmont College’s Hyde Art Gallery. Walk-in visitation is available for all students currently enrolled in any on-campus classes or any staff and faculty already approved to be on campus. Students learning remotely, faculty and staff operating remotely, and the general public can request an appointment to view the exhibition. On Tuesday December 7 from 4pm to 7pm the gallery will host an artist reception. An awards ceremony recognizing exceptional student work will begin at 5pm that evening. Live music will be provided by students from Grossmont's Music Department. Appointments are not necessary for the reception event, however proof of vaccination (or a negative COVID test result form the previous 72 hours) is required.
