Nutrition & Health Education

 

The Nutrition and Health Education course offerings at Grossmont College include classes in general health- personal health and lifestyles (HED 120), public health (HED 201), weight management (HED 101), and health education for teachers (HED 105). Our Nutrition courses include Introduction to nutrition (NUTR 155), nutrition for fitness and sports (NUTR 158), cultural aspects of food and nutrition (NUTR 159), the scientific principles of food preparation (NUTR 205), and science of nutrition (NUTR 255). In addition to educating students about maximizing their personal health, many courses meet general education, certificate, and credential requirements at the community college as well as four-year university levels.
