For Era Molina, dance and the performing arts have always been a part of her life as far back as she can remember.  Currently, Era leads as the Troupe Director of Culture Shock San Diego while entertaining audiences performing at Sea World San Diego and choreographing for some San Diego’s premier Drag Queens. Demonstrating a deep commitment to the arts and community building, Era founded a performing arts collective, The Healing Arts Embassy better known as THAE, fostering a community for using art and performances to find inner and community healing.

With over 20 years of training and teaching experience including earning a Bachelor’s of Arts in Dance at Sacramento State, Era’s journey has been enriched countless mentors and influences including Sean Memije, known for his contributions to San Diego’s theme park entertainment industry and the community surrounding Culture Shock San Diego; Kevin Brewer, a founding member of the legendary Jabbawockeez; and Dr. Linda Goodrich, a student of Katherine Dunham and a respected Founder of Sacramento Black Art of Dance at Sacramento State.

Trained in a diverse array of dance forms including Afro-Caribbean, Modern, Contemporary, and Jazz, Era’s passion truly shines in Hip Hop and various Street and Club Style dance forms such as House and Whacking. Era is honored to be a part of the Grossmont College Dance Department and hopes to educate and inspire generations of dancers to come.
