The principle goal of the Assessment Office is to determine the
skill levels of students in English, English as a Second Language
(ESL), and Mathematics. An assessment process is used to determine
appropriate skill levels and place students in classes where they
can succeed.
All students who plan to register for English, English as a
Second Language, or mathematics classes at Grossmont College
MUST meet the required prerequisites. Your background will
determine the path you follow. Below are several descriptors.
