  2. Discuss governor Rick Perry's analogy between the Boy Scouts' stance against the open inclusion of gays in its ranks, and former Texas governor Sam Houston's career-destroying stance against slavery in the 1860s.
  3. What questionable or shifting terminology does he possibly use?
  4. In what ways might the analogy not work, and why?
  5. What are his motives for referencing former governor Sam Houston?
  6. Do they leave on you a favorable or unfavorable impression of Rick Perry? Why?
