DISTANCE EDUCATION

For evaluation purposes, Distance Education (DE) courses run on the same term schedules as on-campus courses and have deadlines for completing assignments and exams. For all evaluation purposes, DE courses are treated like any other course.

  • Peers: If you require access to a DE course for purposes of evaluation you must contact the instructor of record to gain access to the course container.
    • Instructor of record must go to: USER REQUESTS using the links below:
    • It takes up to 6 working days to be added to an instructor's Canvas container. If you have not received an email notification after the sixth working day since submission, please contact Chris Rodgers.

All users added to a semester container will be given a "ta.name" (Technical Add) account (BlackBoard) or m.firstname.lastname (Manual Add) account (Canvas). Please use this to log into the DE course for your evaluation purposes.

PLEASE NOTE: Fall 2017 is the last semester faculty may use Blackboard. Canvas will be the exclusive LMS for the District as of January 2nd, 2018.
