Grossmont College Distance Education Mission Statement

Support faculty and staff in developing the skills and knowledge necessary to build a rich and engaging online learning environment.


Distance Education (DE) is guided by the DE Subcommittee, which reports to the Technology for Teaching and Learning Committee (TTLC). This subcommittee meets twice a month on the second and fourth Wednesday during the fall and spring semesters. Janet Gelb chairs this subcommittee. Current members include: Carl Fielden, Cary Willard, Cathie Robertson, Dave Dillon, Dawn Heuft, Janet Gelb, Joe Braunwarth, Irene Palacios, Matt Calfin, Mike Reese, Nadra Farina-Hess, Virginia Young, and Will Pines.
