Economics Tutoring
Tutoring is offered free to anyone registered in an economics course at the college. Either go to the Tutoring Center located upstairs on the end facing the quad, or call the Tutoring Center at (619) 644-7387 and make an appointment.
Some things to remember --
1. Center rules limit you to two hours per week. If you miss or are late to more than two or more appointments you will be not be able to use the center again for the duration of the semester.
2. Come prepared. Tutors are not permitted to tutor anyone that has not read the material assigned. They can not teach you the book. You learn as much as you can and then ask them for help with the difficult stuff.
3. Suggestion: Do not wait until just before the midterm to see the tutor -- there may not be any appointments available and the material is best learned as it is taught, not at the last minute.
4. Although only one person can sign up for tutoring at a time, it is OK to bring along a classmate. It doubles the tutor's contact hours, and students can learn from students.
5. Also remember, I am available to help you during my office hours. Check my homepage for the times. If you come into the office and you are being real nice, I will let you see my picture of the bearded Moor.
