| The courses in the area of theatre arts are designed to offer a
broad range of opportunities for students interested in all phases of theatre. Not only is
it possible for a student to get information and experience in the fields of acting and
directing, but he/she can also take courses in which he/she can learn the technical trades
of lighting, scenic design, and the actual construction and painting of scenery. Courses in the history of the theatre, costuming, costume construction,
and makeup are also offered. No theatre worker is completely equipped without at least
passing knowledge of the total requirements of all the areas necessary to produce and
present stage productions. The courses at Grossmont are designed to fill this general need
as well as to allow for intensive study in any particular area of interest. |
