The Tech Mall features 179 PC's .
This Lab is for general course work. We support a wide variety of computer software for most
Departments on campus. We also offer MS Office and Internet Explorer. A variety of software packages are
available for word processing, data bases, spreadsheets, programming,
graphics, WebCt, online classes and projects, and desktop publishing.
We offer computer access and general assistance
for course work in the lab. Some of
our tutors have special knowledge of software applications, however,
no one tutor would have the expertise that may be required to teach a
software application. The tutors are limited to 10 minutes of help per student. If you need assistance with a particular piece
of software, please contact your instructor.
Additionally, computer-assisted and classroom-assisted instructional
products are available as required by departments and instructors for
specific courses. Check with your individual instructors.
Enrollment for use of the Tech Mall
You must be enrolled and attending
classes at Grossmont College.
You must be enrolled in
the IDS-198
Supervised
Tutoring class every semester you use the
lab.

Bring in a referral from your
instructor or from counseling to the registration desk.

computer system security and use statement.

Our Lab Aides and Tutors will
assist you with the on line registration.

You will be asked to login and logout upon entering and leaving
when using the Lab.
Practice in specific skills in information technology, reading,
writing, language, and math using tutorial software and assistance.
This course may be used to strengthen prerequisite skills prior to
enrolling in a specific course or to receive supplemental assistance
while enrolled in another course. This course may be repeated with
different content. This is a no fee/no credit course.
