Employment Opportunities
The outlook for occupations in culinary arts and
hospitality industry is excellent. The U.S. Bureau
of Labor Statistics predicts the number of chef
positions to increase by 50% by the year 2010. In
California the demand for all jobs in the culinary
arts and hospitality industry should increase
40-60%. If you enjoy working with food and people,
you are a good candidate for the ROP/Grossmont
College Culinary Arts Program. You will have the
opportunity toward the end of the program to be
placed for actual on-the-job work experience.
