Culinary Arts and Baking & Pastry Supply List

It is
highly recommended that students in the ROP Culinary
Arts courses purchase the following supplies:
Uniform $50.00 approx.
Knife
set $90.00 approx.
These will be yours to
keep for all of your classes. Black shoes will also
be required for laboratories. Students will be
required to purchase these shoes prior to the first
lab. The shoes need to be black, commercial,
kitchen quality. They need to be oil and slip
resistant. Absolutely no tennis
shoes, slippers, or sandals will be allowed.
The process for
purchasing uniforms and knife sets will be discussed
at the first class meeting. They are not needed
prior to the beginning of the semester. On
Cooking: A Textbook of Culinary Fundamentals ($100)
by Sara R. Labensky will be required for students
going to Basic Skills degree program and taking
cooking classes.
Baking and Pastry:
Mastering the Art and Craft ($75)
by Culinary Institute of America, will be required
for students going into the Baking and Pastry degree
program and taking baking classes. For students who
are enrolled in the Basic Baking and Pastry Arts
class, it is highly recommended that you purchase a
commercial baking and pastry set. The cost is
approximately $70.00.
The $25.00 materials fee
must be paid by February 8, 2008. You may pay
anytime after the first day of class.The $25.00 fee
is paid for each course that has a
fee. SAVE YOUR RECEIPT and show it to
each of your instructors.
