MUST READ - PROGRAM COMMITMENTS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • This is a one year program (Fall, Spring and Summer). Students may not take a portion of this program. Students must take all of the courses, Fall, Spring, and Summer, in that order.
  • All students will need to obtain the required documents to participate in the clinical portions of the program. These are: medical and dental clearances, CPR, vaccinations, individual malpractice insurance ($30), and background checks ($75). These costs are substantial and are the student’s responsibility.
  • Students are responsible for purchasing the textbooks for all of the classes.
These could cost up to $300 for each semester.

  • Students who have taken Anatomy and Physiology prior to this time may not use that as the A and P that is required for this program. A and P for Anesthesia Tech must be completed in this program by everyone.

  • The Spring semester clinical hour requirement is 12 hours per week for 16 weeks in addition to the 8 hours class time on Friday and Saturday. That is a time commitment of 20 hours per week and that does not include homework time. The Summer clinical hour requirement is 12 hours per week in 8 weeks in addition to a 3 hour Friday class and a 6 hour class on Saturday for a total of 21 hours per week.

  • Students need to be flexible in their schedule plus be available for clinical hours of the specific times the hospitals take students.
  • This is a large time commitment and the clinical hours are mandatory. Only sign up for this program if you can meet these rigorous time requirements.
