Welcome to Beta Theta Chi.  We are Grossmont College’s chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the International Honor Society which represents high achievement and academic excellence.  If you have been invited to join our society – CONGRATULATIONS – your hard work has paid off.  Membership in Phi Theta Kappa has numerous benefits while in college, and you will continue to profit from these benefits as you take your place in society.  Our society is best reflected by our four hallmarks - scholarship, leadership, service, and fellowship.  Whether volunteering for existing events or organizing new events, the skills learned and networks formed, are indispensable to our future – and sometimes, it just feels good to give back to the community.  The friendships formed along the way, from attending meetings, or when we volunteer for events, or traveling to seminars, et cetera, stay with us forever.

I'm very excited about our plans for this year.  Our satellite seminar series have captivating topics and we have numerous guest speakers lined up for our meetings which are held in the conference room (Administration Building) on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month.  Send an email to ptk@asgcinc.org  if you have any questions or comments.  In the meantime, keep your eyes open for our posters on campus which will give more information regarding our satellite seminar series and other great events.
