The “Weekend & Evening RN Program” is filled with applicants from
our program waiting list and will continue as long as funds,
facilities and faculty are available. If you are interested in
joining this program, you may indicate so on your application to the
Nursing Program. You may also email us at
grossmont.nursing@gcccd.edu
and inform us of your preference. The program usually begins
every other Fall. Our next cohort of Weekend & Evening students will
possibly begin in the fall of 2009 based on grant funds. The
best opportunity for students to enroll in this particular program
is to take the Biology classes required and apply as soon as
possible to the general program list. All entry requirements remain
the same. (For info on what classes are
required for entry, see the general information for RN programs at
GC.) Every student on the waiting list will be afforded the
opportunity to accept a place in Weekend and Evening Program.
The schedule will remain the same during this 2 year program; lecture classes and on-campus labs will
always begin after 5pm. Clinical rotations (RN students
working at the bedside in the hospitals for practice) will
always be held on the weekend.
