FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE May 30, 2002

Grossmont Summer Sessions Begin June 10, 24 and July 8

El Cajon - Hundreds of students will take advantage of flexible class scheduling opportunities to make the most of their summer at Grossmont College. Four, six and eight-week sessions begin June 10, June 24 and July 8.

"In addition to being the best education bargain in town at $11 per unit for California residents," said Grossmont College President Dr. Ted Martinez, Jr., "we have developed a summer schedule to make it possible for almost everyone to take at least one class and still have an opportunity for typical summertime pursuits with family and friends." In addition to day and evening classes, some courses are offered on Friday evenings and Saturdays. Grossmont College also offers courses on-line. For more information, go to www.grossmont.net/grossmontonline/.

Thanks to the new WebConnect system, on-line application and registration through the Grossmont College website make it even easier for students to plan their schedule without making a special trip to the campus. Prospective students are encouraged to check out a full array of transfer general education classes, as well as career-building classes in business office technology, and free Regional Occupational Program (ROP) classes in public safety, computer layout and design and insurance services. Call the ROP office at (619) 644-7550 for more information.

The Summer Class schedule, which is needed for telephone and on-line registration, is available on the Web at www.grossmont.net, in the campus bookstore, and 'round the clock at the entrance to the college at 8800 Grossmont college Drive, El Cajon.

Summer sessions conclude August 18. For more information, call Grossmont College at (619) 644-7186.
