GROSSMONT MASTER CHORALE
Randall Tweed, Music Director
The Grossmont Master
Chorale, is one of three vocal ensembles in the
music department at Grossmont College.
Under the musical direction of
Dr. Randall Tweed, the chorale performs
throughout Greater San Diego in a variety of musical venues in
addition to being a frequent performer with the
Grossmont
Symphony Orchestra at the
East County
Performing Arts Center.

Numbering
between fifty and sixty singers, the Grossmont Master Chorale's
membership includes music and non-music majors, dedicated community
singers and music teachers. Regular performing venues include noted
concert music series such as
The Organ
Pavilion at San Diego's Balboa Park,
and Point Loma Nazarene University, notable church concert series to
include First Presbyterian Church of San Diego, Our Lady of
Perpetual Help Catholic Church, and Santa Sophia Catholic Church,
and notable retirement communities such as Casa de Mañana of La
Jolla, Frederica Manor of Chula Vista, and Mt. Miguel Covenant
Village of Spring Valley.
In addition to performing a
wide variety of classical choral literature, the Grossmont Master
Chorale performs a number of "runout" concerts featuring choral
literature from Opera, Operetta, Musical Theatre, and Gilbert and
Sullivan. There are also opportunities for the Chorale's
membership to perform solo/ensemble literature during these "runouts."
Membership to the Grossmont
Master Chorale is by audition only. If you are interested in
performing as a member of the Chorale, please contact the music
director,
