Educator's Reference Desk  sponsored by the Information Institute of Syracuse, includes a lesson plan collection.

Librarians' Index to the Internet's  "Education" link, "a well-organized point of access for reliable, trustworthy, librarian-selected Internet resources..."

National Center for Education Statistics  "...the primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data that are related to education in the United States and other nations."

National Educational Service "...provides tested and proven resources to help those who work with youth create safe and caring schools, agencies, and communities where all children succeed."

Teachable moment  offers timely teaching ideas, lesson plans, essays for discussion, etc. Aimed at K-12 teachers, links to good (i.e., model) educational Websites.  Their intent is to "encourage critical thinking on issues of the day and foster a positive classroom environment."
