The Math Study Center is comprised of two adjoining rooms, 70-112 and 70-113, located in the Technology Center next to the library. The MSC offers a wide variety of learning experiences free to our students.

Computers are available with math tutorials on topics from Arithmetic through Calculus. Exploratory software, like Derive, can be used to enhance ones understanding of mathematical concepts. Students can also access programs from chemistry, physics, and other disciplines.

The main attraction for students is the tutoring. The tutors in the Math Study Center are not only screened for their knowledge of mathematics, their ability to communicate, and their attitude, but they are also required to take a course in tutoring techniques. Many students form study groups and meet in the MSC to do their homework on a regular basis where they can receive assistance from these tutors.

Many times students gather here with their instructor to do their math in a more relaxed atmosphere and to explore additional topics.

If you plan to be on campus, please stop by the MSC so you can see and feel the dynamics of this environment.
