How do I look for a book in the library?
Click on our online catalog.
How do I order a book or article from another library?
Use our online interlibrary loan form.  Please make sure that the book or article is not available at Grossmont before ordering it.
How do I find a textbook at the library?
Not all textbooks are in the library.  If they are, they are likely to be on reserve.  Contact a reference librarian at (619) 644-7361 to find out if your textbook is on reserve in the library, or you may check for the title in our online catalog.
What is reserve material, and how do I find it?
Reserve material, which consists of textbooks or other class material, can be used for a limited period of time.  Ask the reference librarian for help finding it.
How do I access the library's databases from off campus?
When you click on this link from off-campus: http://ezproxy.grossmont.edu/login?url=http://wf3ut5kn3u.cs.serialssolutions.com/, you will be guided to a logon page that explains what to do.
What is my user id and password to get into the databases?
Grossmont students user id is usually their first and last name with no spaces in between.  The password is their pin number.
Who do I contact about a library fine or overdue material?

How do I find out what books I have checked out?

What do I need to check out a book?
You must be a Grossmont or Cuyamaca currently registered student, and show a picture I.D. Contact the Circulation Department by calling (619) 644-7356 during regular business hours for more information.
How do I renew books?
Contact the Circulation Department by calling (619) 644-7356 during regular business hours.
Do you proctor exams?
To make up a Grossmont College exam, contact the Testing Center (room 70-206) To schedule an appointment, contact the Testing Center at 619.644.7200. 
Which software applications are on the library computers?
The library offers Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office - which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
What are the library's hours?
Current hours, updated regularly, are always posted on the library website.
