PERSONAL
I have lived in San Diego most of my life and have been
teaching at Grossmont College since 1985. My passions (other than
teaching!) include skiing the steep and deep winter snow at
Alta and Snowbird, Utah, working in my garden, reading, and running. I began running
marathons in the Fall of 2000, and have completed 16 so far,
including the Boston Marathon seven times. For an interesting story that

about something that happened to me during the 2007 Boston
