This course has a strict enrollment cap of
35 students. The impacted status of
English courses has made enrollment in
English 120 extremely competitive.
Students who are absent on Day 1 without
prior notification and good reason will be
dropped immediately to make room for
Wait-listers and Crashers. Registered
students, however, shouldn't take their
enrollment status lightly: in the interest of
accommodating more serious-minded
students, I will actively seek out
opportunities to drop students with
questionable investment in the course
during the first two weeks of the semester.
Whatever roster you're on—registered,
wait-listed, or crashing—you'll be dropped
without notice immediately following any
absence during the first two weeks of the
