course uses the Blackboard Learning System,
the first you need to learn is how to log on to the
Blackboard
site. You can do this any time after you register as
a Grossmont
student. (You might have to wait 24 hours for the system
to update
and recognize you.) Just follow these steps:

Go
to
<http://www.grossmont.edu/>.
(Note: If you leave off the www, you will get an error
message. Don't forget it!)

Click on
"Blackboard" on the left-hand side of the page near the
bottom.
It's in the "Online Services" section. |

Enter your username and password.
Unless you have been told otherwise, your username is your
WebAdvisor
login name (usually your first name, followed by a
period,
followed by your last name):
pat.martinez
Your password is
usually your
date of
birth in MMDDYY format. If you haven't changed it yet,
you might want
to do so later on, for security reasons.

Having trouble?
Notice
the "Forgot Your Password?" link in the login box, and the
link entitled "Detailed login instructions". That link has
a short video showing you exactly how to log in. There
also used to be phone
numbers for
computer help (see the box to the right; they might
have changed since the page you are reading now was
written).
