Welcome FALL 2010 Students!
Information for Fall 2010 is being updated and will be completed by August 16th, 2010.
Unlike a traditional class, this course will not take place in a classroom, instead all instruction will be delivered over the Internet. This type of online instruction will be accomplished by reading assigned material, viewing online lectures and working on tutorials. As a student you are expected to complete weekly homework assignments, online quizzes and participate in class discussions through the use of a discussion board or through online meeting lectures. In addition, you are REQUIRED to come to campus to take ONE midterm and one final examination. Be aware that a distance learning environment is not suited for everyone. Students who tend to procrastinate and complete assignments at the last minute will not do well in this course. Such students are advised not to enroll. |

To quote Florence Nightingale, she believed that statistics is "...the most important science in the whole world; for upon it depends the practical application of every other science and of every art; the one science essential to all political and social administration, all education, all organization based on experience, for it only gives results of our experience." |
