Getting Started for FALL 2009

Online instruction will occur through the use of MyMathLab. Your new textbook comes with a FREE
MyMathLab access code. THIS ACCESS CODE IS VERY IMPORTANT. You will need it to REGISTER onto
MyMathLab. If you are using a used textbook or do not want to purchase a textbook, then you still have to purchase the access code separately through the publisher or in the Grossmont College bookstore.

Once you have registered you will have to navigate your way through MyMathLab to find assignments. The documents below are intended to help you navigate through MyMathLab, find online homework and understand how to use the "discussion board". Be patient -- documents below may take a few minutes to download.

READ THE DOCUMENTS IN THE ORDER THEY ARE LISTED:

1) Registration Instructions for MyMathLab
2) Navigate through MyMathLab
3) DISCUSSION BOARD instructions

COURSE WORK

Once you are done reading the assigned material begin the Text Book Exercises at the end of each section to see if you are understanding the material. These text book exercises will not be turned in for a grade.

Once you are ready to get started, go to the MyMathLab site to find ALL COURSE MATERIAL, video lectures, homework assignments and the discussion board. Be prepared to enter your login and password to access the course content. You will also be asked for the course id.
