When Buying an Automobile...
- You must purchase auto insurance. I recommend that you do not buy
the minimum as it may not be sufficient to cover the cost that you may
incur.
- Have the vehicle inspected by a
mechanic so that you are aware of any problems.
Financing
Be sure to compare finance charges and interest rates. You should check
with the banks before you go to the dealer because they might offer you
a better rate.
Signing Contracts
Before you sign anything, make sure you read all the small writing and
that you understand what you are signing. Make sure to ask specific
questions if you don’t understand; it’s ok!
Public Transportation
Bus passes are approximately $60 a month ($52 through Grossmont College if you
are a registered student). Semester passes are also available. (prices subject to change)
