Housing Through Grossmont Community College

  1. Must be an F1 Visa holding student who will or is currently enrolled at Grossmont College
  2. Contact the front desk in the International Counseling Office at Grossmont College (619) 644-7841
  3. Ask if there is any available housing.
  4. Come to the International Counseling Office at Grossmont College
  5. Directions:
    1. Park in Lot 7.
    2. Go up the stairs closest to the bus stop from Lot 7 to the campus.
    3. Follow the wide ramp up until you are between the bookstore on your right and counseling on your left.
    4. Look to your left and you should see a sign that reads "International Counseling".
  6. Enter the office and ask the person at the front desk for the housing ads book.
  7. Look for a place that suits you (one that you can afford, one that is most convenient for you).
  8. Ask if you can make a copy of the ad.
  9. Next, contact the person offering the place; make an appointment to visit the residence.
  10. Make sure to check everything over well. It is important that you feel comfortable in the place you will be staying while attending Grossmont College. Verify that utilities are in working order (lights, toilet, sink, etc.). Take note of the level of cleanliness. Sometimes it is good to have a friend come along when visiting the home for the first time.
  11. Make a decision on which residence to live in.
  12. Make the arrangements to move-in and enjoy your stay here in San Diego!
