Systems, Joins Grossmont College Author’s Club
 Norman’s
new title, co-authored with Georges G. Merx, is Unified Software
Engineering with Java (Pearson/Prentice Hall). “We wanted
computer science and information technology students to
understand that writing software with languages such as Java,
C++, Visual Basic or HTML really fits as one piece of a much
broader software development process called software
engineering,” said Norman, of Grossmont’s Computer Science and
Information Systems Dept. “Prospective employers not only want
our students to know how to write computer programs, but also to
understand and appreciate how the writing activity fits into the
overall software engineering process.”
