  • Log into Blackboard and update your personal information(do this second).
  • Explore the Blackboard course container and take the orientation quiz.
  • Post on the Discussion Board a personal introduction telling a little bit about who you are and why you are taking the class .
  • Reply to at least one other introduction on the Discussion Board.
  • Skim Chapter 1 in your textbook and take a look at:

  • View all week 1 video lectures (Orientation, Geologic Time Introduction, Principles of Relative Dating 1 & 2).
  • Take the follow-up quiz for the video lectures.
  • Complete the Geologic History Assignment and Assessment (The assignment will be emailed to you. When you have finished the assignment, then do the assessment to receive credit.).
  • Respond to the topics posted on the Discussion Board for Week 1.
