Facilities Update - August 21, 2008
Parking Lot 5 Concrete Pour
On Tuesday,
August 26, 2008, we will
have our first major concrete pour for our new Parking Structure in
Lot 5. The
concrete pour will start
at 6:30am and there will be approximately ten concrete trucks coming
onto campus, per hour, and they will run constantly until 12:00pm.
Flag personnel will be stationed at each entrance and exit of the
construction site to assist in directing incoming and outgoing
traffic.
I would also request that
everyone use caution and reduce their speeds when driving by these
construction areas and detours for your own safety and others around
you including construction workers on site.

Facilities Update - August 11, 2008
Temporary Closures of Parking Lots
on Campus
Beginning Monday August 11, 2008 through Wednesday August 13, 2008
On Monday,
August 11, 2008 from 6:00 am to 12:00 noon Parking Lot 4A will be
closed. We will be restriping spaces in parking lot 4A.
We will also be removing the designated staff parking spaces in the
lot and changing these spaces to student parking spaces.
On Tuesday, August
12, 2008, from 6:00 am till 5:00 pm Parking Lot 3 will be closed. We
will be restriping the entire parking lot as part of our regular
maintenance program. We will also be removing the
designated staff parking spaces in the lot and changing these spaces
to student parking spaces.
On Wednesday,
August 13, 2008 from 6:00 am until 5:00 pm. Staff parking spots
will be blocked off in parking Lot 1, parking lot 7, Hansen Circle
and the upper Stagehouse theater lot next to the Foundation
Office for repainting. We will also be removing the designated
staff parking spaces in the lot and changing these spaces to student
parking spaces and visitor spaces.
Please Note
Staff parking lot 6
by the transit center and staff parking lot 3 will remain designated
as staff parking. These two lots, along with a portion of the
soccer field will be used for adjunct faculty parking and other
quick turn around and early start parking needs.
We apologize for any
inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and
patience during this time as we work to ensure parking spaces are
clearly marked and ready for the start of the fall semester.
