Information
for Online/Hybrid Instructors |
To provide better service for faculty and students, we have
changed the Blackboard process to better
accommodate the increasing demand for containers and student
roster
uploads. All requests will now be made through the web site
and automatically routed to the appropriate IS staff for
fulfillment. Note: You must have
had experience using Blackboard or have taken a Blackboard
workshop before you request a container.
We would
like to receive container requests as soon as possible. When
the container is ready, IS will email you with your
container ID, user name, and password.

Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning (CATL)
Staff Development workshops on technology and teaching excellence
are offered through CATL. Both faculty and staff are welcome to
participate in workshops and use the facilities available in CATL.
Visit this page for up-coming events. CATL is located in the lower
level of the new LtRC building (Room #70-084).
Classified Senate
Classified Senate advocates the value and contributions of
classified staff to the college learning environment and success
of students at GCCCD. Classified Senate also promotes the
participation of classified staff in shared governance at the
local state levels.

Educational Master Plan
The Grossmont College Educational Master Plan builds upon the
College's vision, mission and goals to guide the ongoing development
of the institution's instructional programs, students services and

Grademaster
We have purchased Apperson's Grademaster, which is a new scoring
system that will eventually replace the older Scantron machines.
- Grademaster is compact, lightweight, relatively inexpensive, and
is quiet.
- Scantron 800 series forms may be used with Grademaster.
- The Bookstore carries both the new Apperson forms as well as the
older Scantron forms.
- Printing/Duplicating has the Analysis forms for instructors.
- Scantron machines are still in their original locations
and will remain for the rest of the year.

Grant Development Process
The purpose of the Grant Development Process is to accurately
track potential grant activity, assist with the research of new
grants, assist with writing grants, and to help with the technical
aspects of submitting grant applications.
Grapevine
The Grapevine is an online, illustrated newsletter for GCCCD
retirees. See what's happening with your retired colleagues and
friends. The newsletter is fully searchable, archived back to
1990, and is published three times a year.
Grossmont College
Authors
Grossmont College is home to outstanding faculty and staff. Many
are published authors, and have been featured as part of a
continuing series in the Grossmont College newsletter, Campus
Scene.

The
Loop
The Loop is Grossmont College's staff bulletin. It is published by
e-mail every Thursday that classes are in session. Hard copies are
available in the foyer of the Business/Communications office.
Only staff members can place an item in the Loop; it is not open to
students or outside parties. Notices may be run up to four times a
semester. President's Cabinet has ruled that business ads may not be
placed in the Loop. Items must be received in the Instructional
Operations Office, room 109, by noon the Tuesday before the
publication date. Forms are available in the Instructional
Operations Office or you may submit items by e-mail to
barbara.prilaman@gcccd.edu.
Carefully proof all material that is submitted by e-mail.
Information regarding the Loop may be obtained by calling Linda

Student Learning Outcomes
This website was designed to provide
information to faculty and staff on designing and using student
learning outcomes (SLO's). Student learning outcomes are measured
learning objectives as defined by faculty and staff members. Student
learning outcomes are written statements that represent student
learning goals at the college, departmental, and course levels.
Strategic Plan
The annual
Strategic Plan Report highlights the achievements of Grossmont
College students, faculty, and staff, the President's goals and
accomplishments, the 2003-04 Collegewide Priorities and Selected
Accomplishments. It also includes a list of the 2004-05
Collegewide Priorities.
Syllabus Resources
Technology Plans
The Grossmont College Technology Plan, formerly the Instructional
Computing Technology Plan, combines planning for both Administrative
and Instructional computer technology. The Plan is developed with a
two-year forecast of technology needs. To allow for emerging
technology, the Plan is evaluated and updated on a year-to-year
basis.
Web Standards
The District has has developed web
standards in an effort to keep a uniform look throughout the
websites as well as make sure that our website meets Section 508
guidelines. Section 508 states that we must make our website
accessible to all people, including the visually impaired. We have
developed a web standards website for faculty & staff who have any
affiliation with working on Grossmont's website including
departmental and faculty pages. On this page you will find district
