Please Note:
Grossmont College Financial Aid has been severely impacted by
budget cuts and the on-going economic crisis. As a result,
Financial Aid applications have increased 24% over last year and
we have been subject to hiring freezes and are currently down an
equivalent of 3 full-time staff. Every effort is
being made to ensure that Financial Aid applications are
reviewed as quickly as possible.
Grossmont College offers a full array of financial aid programs -
grants, work, loans and scholarships to full-time and part-time
students. We have financial aid available to help you
with the cost of fees, books and supplies, food, housing,
transportation and childcare.
In 2008-2009, Grossmont College awarded $14.8 million
in federal, state and institutional financial aid to approximately 34% of
our full-time and part-time students. $12.8 million or 86% of the funds
awarded was in the form of grants (funds that do not have to be paid back).
The average amount of financial aid awarded per student was approximately $3,150.
Please check out the information in these web pages to learn
about financial aid eligibility requirements and the financial
aid you might be eligible to receive.
We encourage everyone to apply for financial aid! |
