Grossmont College ESL Program
The goal of English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction is to
help students succeed in college and at work. To meet the needs of
individual students, courses are offered in different levels and
skill areas: grammar, writing, reading, conversation and
pronunciation. Orientation to American culture is integrated into
most ESL courses. ESL testing and advisement sessions are provided
to help students decide which ESL courses they need.
