 WELCOME OUR NEW ASSOCIATE DEAN!
FRANCIS STEINDORF
Mr. Steindorf has served as the EOPS Director at Merced
College and at Evergreen Valley College,
in San Jose for four
years. He has also served in a variety of administrative and
instructional positions at community colleges, four year
institutions and flagships universities in Wisconsin, North
Dakota, Minnesota and Nevada, prior to joining EOPS in the
California Community College system. He has an undergraduate
degree in English, a Master's degree in Counseling and is ABD in
Educational Administration. He utilizes a proactive,
student-focused approach in his efforts to assist students with
their academic success. |
EOPS Secretary, Jeannette Fermin
While attending classes in 1990 at Grossmont, Jeannette was
hired at the EOPS office as a part-time student worker. She
completed a two-year Executive Assistant/Secretarial Specialist
Certificate and graduated with honors. She was on the Vice
President of Instruction “Student of Note” list. After
graduating, Jeannette was hired full-time at her beloved
Grossmont College, where she now has 18 years of experience
working in different positions. Jeannette is bilingual in
English/Spanish and she is happy to be
back in the EOPS office!

CalWORKs Program Technician
I have worked in student services on campus for over 15 years
and have gained so much from every student whom I have had the
pleasure to assist. I was a nanny before coming to the Office
Professional Training program here at Grossmont College. Once I
completed the program, the director gave me the opportunely to
work as an hourly on campus. I then became the Student Services
Assistant Senior for OPT, then the Job Developer for CalWORKs
program and now the Program Technician. I so much enjoy the
opportunity to aid a student who is making great changes in
their lives and hope that I impact their lives for the positive
as
much as they have mine.

Peer Advisors are specially trained
students who are familiar with Grossmont College courses and college procedures.
They can assist you with issues such as financial aid and scholarship forms, telephone
registration, on-campus tutoring services. Peer Advisors will also give students referrals
and updates on EOPS/CARE status. Students participating in EOPS/CARE
Program must meet with a Peer Advisor at least once a semester to complete the EOPS/CARE
Program Requirements. |
