Disabled Student Programs & Services (DSPS)
Assistive Technology Center
The Assistive Technology Center (ATC) empowers students with disabilities to achieve their goals and independence on the computer. Assistive technology is hardware or software that helps people with disabilities to use a computer, and the ATC provides a wide variety of assistive products such as screen magnifiers for students with low vision, screen readers for students who are blind, scan and read systems to help students with learning disabilities read more effectively, voice recognition systems to assist with writing and data entry, plus many alternative input devices that offer improved accessibility over a standard keyboard and mouse. During our open lab hours, DSP&S students are welcome to come in and work on their class assignments.
