Associate Data Cells With Headers

For data tables that have two or more logical levels of row or column headers, use markup to associate data cells and vertical and horizontal header cells. Use <TR> to identify rows, <TD> for data cells, and <TH> for headers. Labeling table elements with the SCOPE or HEADER attributes will enable future browsers and assistive technologies to select data from a table by filtering categories. The following example combines several solutions discussed in this issue:
