  1. What is CTE?

    CTE is part of the Career and Technical Education/ Workforce Development division at Grossmont College.

    The programs include:

    Anesthesia Technology

    Cardiovascular Technology

    Culinary Arts

    Disabilities Services Management

    Electrocardiograph Technician (EKG/Telemetry)

    Orthopedic Technology

    Occupational Therapy Assistant

    Respiratory Therapy

    Speech-Language Pathology Assistant

  2. Who Qualifies for CTE?
    CTE Courses are offered tuition-free to anyone, 16 years or older, regardless of race, religion, sex, national origin, handicap or income level. There is no qualifying necessary. You can enroll in the CTE to: learn entry level job skills, upgrade existing skills, prepare for advanced training, or train for a new career.

     
  3. Are There Jobs Available?
    Job placement instruction is provided in each program, and CTE students have access to the Job Placement Office and the Career Planning Center on campus.

  5. Is CTE Training Up To Date?
    Employers serve on advisory committees annually to help verify that (CTE) training meets business and industry needs and standards. Instructors have years of experience in their specialty.
