High School Outreach 

Grossmont College provides a high school outreach program to the twelve high schools in the the Grossmont Union High School District, as well as other high schools who have requested our services.


  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions

  • Conduct classroom presentations on transfer options, financial aid & scholarships

  • Present cost comparisons of the different educational systems and campus resources


Counselors also:


  • attend College/Career Fairs to present information about numerous vocational programs


  • offer Personal Development Counseling courses on topics related to college survival skills, such as "Study Skills and Time Management" and "College and Career Success"

The Counseling department welcomes the opportunity to visit elementary, middle and high school settings that request information about the vocational programs and transfer options Grossmont College has to offer.
