I enjoy working with community college
students most of all because I have
fun
doing it. I enjoy the relationship building
and really getting to know
the person I
am working with. In many ways, I see my
work as an artist. I
assist students by
facilitating the color, creativity and energy
that I see
within them... and transform that
into goals and clear cut steps to reaching
that goal. I feel that many students don't see the incredible talent, intelligence
and wonderful gifts they have naturally. My job is to get you excited about
your life and your education by helping you channel that energy in a meaningful
way. I believe that my honesty with students is the greatest "thing"
I have to offer as a counselor. In addition, I do love to challenge students
by awakening in them their own unique power that lies within. In that way,
I also see myself as an academic and personal coach. I am energized when I
see people following their dreams, aiming high, working hard toward clear
goals. But underlying all my work, I believe most students come to community
college to create a better life and to be happy. I can only hope to inspire
you and share my knowledge and experience with you in that journey.
