permits, for graduation, for transfer jobs and state
requirements for working with young children.
Also find out about receiving money from
the San Diego CAREs program for Child Development Students who
are working in the field and continuing their education.

Site Supervisor and Program Director

Are you ready for your permit? before you come:

Download and fill out the CDTC application
(This will pay for your permit and reimburse you $56 towards livescan fees.)
For the application go to www.childdevelopment.org
Click on Child Development Permit Stipends.

If you are working with children download the
First 5 application, and have your employer sign page 8 of the CDTC application

If you are not currently working with children, download and fill out the CDD application.

Have your employer, current or past, sign a verification of
experience form. (page 11). If you work in family child care,
there are also forms to get from parents of children in your care.

Get official transcripts from all colleges that have coursework applicable to your permit.

Download and fill out the Commission on Teacher Credentialing Application

Go to www.ctc.ca.gov

In the blue box click on Applications, Forms, Leaflets, Manuals

Download the permit application 41-4 and the livescan form 41-LS
