What Do Successful Students Say?
- Be prepared to devote at least 2-3 hours for each 1 hour of
class (e.g., 9 hours class time so 18 outside hours for Chem 141
minimum).
- Participate in class and ask questions at the instructor's
office hours.
- Keep up to date with all the work in lab, lecture, and
computer exercises.
- Form a study group and meet regularly for discussion, HW,
lab write-ups, etc.
- Sign up for a computer "T" class and/or directed study
tutoring.
- Seek professional help from an instructor in
open-tutoring as soon as you feel you need it.
- Learn the chemistry vocabulary as if it were a foreign
language.
