Can I Get Assistance To Help Me In Chemistry After I Have Enrolled?

Of course we'll help you. There are many programs and options to provide additional assistance for you.

  • The chemistry instructors hold drop-in open office hours in Room 313 from Monday through Saturday for any chemistry student. Check the schedule posted outside the room for exact times.

  • There are computer tutorial classes for each chemistry lab class (e.g., Chem 120T, Chem 141T) to provide supplemental instruction and practice as well as instructors to assist you.

  • Each chemistry lab course has inherent computer components for directed study such as lab calculation checking and accuracy grading, individualized homework, prelab simulations, and drills for practice to ensure you have continuous feedback of your progress.

  • Computers are available adjacent to each laboratory and in the Chemistry Learning Center (313 & 313A) as well as in the Physics (333) and Mathematics Study Centers (356 & 376) and in the Learning Assistance Center (711) within the LRC.

  • A place to study, do homework, meet as study groups, or work with a peer tutor or an instructor in the Chemistry Learning Center, Room 313.

  • Student Services offers free one-on-one tutoring by appointment or on a drop-in basis at the Tutoring Center in the LRC, Room 711J.

  • See the Study Labs Brochure for additional assistance in related areas such as Mathematics and English.
